Abstract

The author proposes reconstructing the oldest form of the Decalogue by a comparison of the two versions of the Decalogue in Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5. The method utilized works back to the original form by gradually eliminated those portions that differ in the two versions of the Decalogue and then eliminating what appears to have been later editorial additions.
