Waiver Policy

The International Journal of Research Studies in Science, Engineering, and Technology (IJRSSET) is committed to ensuring that financial constraints do not impede the dissemination of valuable scientific knowledge. To support authors who may not have the means to cover publication fees, IJRSSET offers a waiver policy under specific circumstances.

Eligibility for Waiver

Waivers may be granted to authors based on the following criteria:

  • Authors from low-income countries, as classified by the World Bank or similar international bodies.
  • Researchers without funding support for publication fees.
  • Cases where the research's potential impact is significant but financial hardships are evident.

Application Process

  1. Request Submission: Authors seeking a waiver must submit a formal request to the Editorial Team, providing a detailed explanation of their financial hardship and the importance of their research.
  2. Verification: The Editorial Team will review the request, taking into consideration the author's country of origin, institutional support, and the merit of the research work.
  3. Decision: Waiver requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. The decision to grant a waiver will be communicated to the authors promptly.

Conditions

  • Waiver requests must be made at the time of manuscript submission or immediately after acceptance before the publication process begins.
  • Authors should provide clear justification for the waiver request; mere affiliation with a low-income country does not automatically qualify for a waiver.
  • IJRSSET reserves the right to grant partial waivers in some cases, depending on the journal's financial health and the number of waiver requests received.

Confidentiality

All waiver requests and communications regarding financial hardships will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and respect.

Commitment to Equity

IJRSSET's waiver policy reflects our commitment to equity in academic publishing. We aim to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent the publication of worthy scientific contributions. This policy is part of our broader effort to support the global research community and foster an inclusive environment for scholars from diverse economic backgrounds.
